Yes. BSC and MSC students have student price. PhD candidates pays Early Bird price (no deadline). BSC, MSC and PhD students must present a valid student ID upon arrival at the conference.

Yes. That’s correct. Only credit card payment can be used for the registration fee.

Everyone can participate. But everybody must pay the conference fee, as well I you want to present a full paper during the conference. Read more about the registration fees here 

Hotel rooms at the conference venue Clarion Hotel The Hub can be booked for 18 – 22 June, breakfast included, price per night .

No. The deadline will not be postponed. 14 March 2023 2023 is the final date.

Also a POSTER requires a full paper. The only difference between ORAL and POSTER presentation is the way of presentation of the paper.

NB! No paper version of the Poster is required.

It is the same requirements to papers for both ORAL and POSTER sessions. We see that we have the capability to offer Lecture hall presentations also for the Posters, but they will be shorter (about 5 min in total:  4 min for pres+1 min questions). The poster presentations will be in larger lecture halls allowing more people in the audience. Poster presentation will then be a PPT presentation on typical 5 slides.

Only papers strictly prepared according to the information in the template will be included in the conference proceedings.

Yes. The title, abstract, list of authors, affiliations, emails ,etc., of the accepted paper as oral presentation can be updated on the WCTE website. Only the latest version is valid, the rest is history. Topic should be kept. If you have any technical questions, please send Email to WCTE@gyro.no

The WCTE 2023 to be held in the capital of Norway, Oslo, on June 19^th – 22^th in 2023

No.  June 19th – 22th 2023 is the definite date for the conference. If the conditions to hold the conference physically are not met by 2023, then a hybrid or 100% online format will be chosen. In the planning of WCTE 2023, we want to keep up the emphasis on research and exploration within wood mechanics and timber structures. We will also focus on sustainability and the role of wood as an attractive and environmentally friendly material for consideration by any actor in the building sector. Recycling, re-use and optimal utilization of materials are coming important topics and should be properly discussed. View the Tracks

The WCTE 2023 will take place at the Clarion Hotel The Hub in the Oslo City Centre. The HUB is the largest congresses hotel in Norway, located next to the Oslo Central Station, with connections to trams, subways and the airport express train.

Yes. All the participants are cordially invited to a gala dinner at the he Clarion Hotel The Hub in the Oslo City Centre. The attendance of this event is not included in the Conference fee!

Yes. During the WCTE 2023 different side events will be organised to run in parallel with the conference. Alongside the conference, the Norwegian and international business community, companies, and public enterprises and associations will have the opportunity to further raise their national and international profiles.
