No, June 19th – 22th 2023 is the definite date for the conference. If the conditions to hold the conference physically are not met by 2023, then a hybrid or 100% online format will be chosen. In the planning of WCTE 2023, we want to keep up the emphasis on research and exploration within wood mechanics and timber structures. We will also focus on sustainability and the role of wood as an attractive and environmentally friendly material for consideration by any actor in the building sector. Recycling, re-use and optimal utilization of materials are coming important topics and should be properly discussed. View the Tracks
The WCTE 2023 will take place at the Clarion Hotel The Hub in the Oslo City Centre. The HUB is the largest congresses hotel in Norway, located next to the Oslo Central Station, with connections to the tram, subway and the airport express train.

Yes. During the WCTE 2023 three different side events will be organised to run in parallel with the conference. Alongside the conference, the Norwegian and international business community, companies, and public enterprises and associations will have the opportunity to further raise their national and international profiles.
